Golfing Innovation at an Affordable Price Many of the golf management systems in the market are antiquated and addressed a business need from 20 years ago. The market has evolved. New and younger players are entering the golf industry all the time and they are brought up with the latest mobile technologies. Old Client/Server, PC based systems are inflexible and do not fit into today’s technical and social media environment. myGolf2u addressed these shortcomings by introducing technologies that fit the current trends, satisfy the new, younger crowed that are starting to play golf while building user interfaces that are simple for the older generations to use. Our solution is total totally cloud based, which mean there is little to no investment on the part of clubs to start using myGolf2u. At the same time, we provide web based administration panels for general settings while frequent operational functions are provided via a specialised club App. Players, of course, have their own specialised App which is free to download and use. The entire myGolf2u suite to manage golf operations include the following modules:
Booking & Registration – let the players do it themselves!
Covid-19 is here to stay! That is what the experts are telling us.
It has become acceptable to golf clubs that they must now adopt new norms to avoid the spread of Coronavirus, for fear of closure and the inevitable loss of business.
Coronavirus aside, all too often club processes are not in line with player expectations and of course they strive to improve the golfing experience to retain their members and increase visitor traffic.
Most players don’t really want to call multiple clubs to find slots, line up at registration counters to make payments and wait around for their turn to play.
If players can go through an entire booking, payment and check-in process in the airline industry, there is no reason why they can’t do this for playing golf.
myGolf2u provides clubs with a highly flexible tee time slot generation, pricing and promotions module. Rules can be set for each course and tee time so that when players select a slot to book, they know the exact guidelines and pricing.
Caddie and Buggy schedules allow the system to automatically assign these based on bookings. Players can book favourite caddies ahead of time, which can generate further revenue for the club.
Players’ ability to post their booking to their friends or the whole myGolf2u community will extend the possibility of full flights to maximise revenues. Since the process includes payment, the club will secure their booking fees upfront, thereby improving cashflow and avoiding no-show losses.
The final check-in process by players informs the Caddie Master, who has a tablet with the myGolf2u Club App on it, that they are actually heading to the club and will arrive at the given ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival). This gives the Caddie Master the ability to plan ahead and arrange their buggies, caddies and any food or drinks they have ordered. Once the bags are dropped, the players can be allowed to head to their tee box without any delay. If the players are late, then the Caddie Master can bump up the next flight if necessary.
At the tee box the Course Starter will give the final go ahead for the players to start their game. This is captured via the app, as is their crossover and completion time to provide an indication of pace of play. If the club does not have Course Starters then the Caddie Master can perform this function.
When players return their buggies and caddies, the Caddie Master indicates that the round is complete, at which point the players are presented with a review form to rate the club, the whole experience, the caddie and the App.
Meanwhile, back at the club house, the club manager has full view of this entire process, the number of rounds, players, buggies and caddies used for the day, which flights are in play, which are yet to start and which have completed their rounds and so on. A full set of charts provides managers with a 360-degree view of their bookings, revenues, various metric and statistics.
Membership Management – improve interaction with members and make everyone’s life easier! Since all members will be using myGolf2u in some form or other, the club has a powerful ability to interact with players through the App. Notices, Handicaps, Tournaments, Membership Details, Payments and of course Booking & Registration are but to mention a few. This breaks the paradox of the old membership management, where a team of clerks have to administer thousands of members, thereby delaying response to customers. Now the customers have their essential details at their fingertips and can in fact change their billing or correspondence details themselves. All types of memberships are available, namely Full, Partial, Family, Term etc. Billing parameters are sat up by the club and automatically triggered by the system. Billing can accept feeds from booking & registration, which members can charge to their account, from F&B outlets in the club, the Pro Shop or any other sources which allow the member to purchase goods from at the club.
Tournament Management –streamline processes from A to Z! Tournament Management in many clubs is a little haphazard and leaves members and visitors with a feeling that things could have always been done better. For a start, some clubs post tournaments on notice boards. Before a player has had a chance to visit the club, the tournaments are sometimes full. This is not bad for the club per se but many players feel they had no chance to participate. If they were notified via the App, at least everyone would have an equal chance to participate. With myGolf2u, as soon as you post your tournament, whether it is a monthly medal, open tournament or a private corporate event (limited to selected players), it is available for players to see. All aspects of the tournament such as the name, description, rules, dates, registration period, format of play, sponsor etc. can be defined and made visible to players. When registration closes, the club can generate the flight draw with a touch of a button based on desired parameters. Of course manual editing is available to fine tune the flight draw. Again the flight draw is visible to the players so if the tournament is a one or two point start, they don’t have to rush into the club at 7 a.m. only to find they are teeing off at 10 a.m. One of the important aspects of myGolf2u tournaments is that it allows for live electronic scoring. This means the club can assign scorers for each flight and players can see whom they are scoring for on the app. Everyone scores electronically and when the last putt is sunk, the results are available, but for the final OCB (On Count Back) calculation. During the game, players can view their scorecards as well the overall leaderboard right from their phone. Back at the club house monitors can also display the live leaderboard for staff or spectators. Once the tournament is finalized, the club can print various reports, including the winner report based on various formats. The tournament and all its data will remain indefinitely in the club’s cloud segment for future reference. myGolf2u offers device rentals for tournaments if you prefer scoring to be done by your caddies or volunteers.
Handicapping – simple, transparent, immediate results myGolf2u uses the latest USGA & WHS2020 rules of handicap calculation, one of which is that handicaps should be reported promptly, unlike some of the current systems that take up to a month to provide the results. With myGolf2u, when players submit their scores for their normal games or tournaments, their handicaps are calculated immediately and displayed to them in the App. All historical rounds are presented for the player to see, with the latest 20 rounds clearly indicating the top ten that are used for handicap calculation. As a club, if you subscribe to the handicap feature, myGolf2u provides you with a bundle that can be used to assign to your members. You can avoid the laborious process of collecting scorecards, manually entering them into a handicapping system then waiting for days to update everyone’s handicap. Meanwhile, you may have new tournaments but the results provided by these manual systems would not reflect a player’s latest handicap. myGolf2u eliminates all such manual processes and ambiguities surrounding players’ handicaps.
Course Administration – course changes are immediately reflected in the App Clubs are in full control of their course details which means scorecard, tee boxes, distances, pars, index, slope ratings, course ratings and so on. As and when course details are changed by the club, players automatically get the updates on the App, so they would be playing on the latest scorecard details. Historical course details are stored along with each electronic scorecard submitted, so such changes do not affect past games.
Food & Beverage – integrated state-of-the-art F&B and POS System myGolf2u offers the latest cloud based, app oriented and QR ordering systems. Food can be ordered before games are completed so that there is less waiting. Players can also order snacks and drinks from the buggies using QR systems. myGolf2u can also integrate with your choice of F&B as long as the technology fits with our cloud based systems and they can work through API’s.
Finance & Accounting – integrated financial ease of mind myGolf2u offers a fully integrated Finance & Accounting system which captures all transactions generated for your club. This includes bookings, payments, discounts, F&B etc. myGolf2u can also integrate with your preferred or inhouse Finance & Accounting.
